This product (which is still in development) is the result of a collaboration between the London College of Fashion and the University of Sheffield. Catalytic Clothing state that their product removes nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds (stuff that our cars etc are emitting) from the air. The idea is that you wash the 'purifying element' which contains titanium dioxide in to your garments and once its dry you are good to go!

"As you walk down the street you are purifying the air and passing cleaner air on to the person behind you by the movement of your own walking," Professor Helen Storey MBE
