Michelle Baggerman's project was very similar to a project myself and a group of others took part in, within our first year at Chelsea. We created a knitted textile made from plastic bags in order to make a series of suspended tunnels that could support human travelling through them. The nature of the material meant that it was strong yet flexible which made it perfect for what we wanted. As people would be moving through the tunnels we wanted this movement to be visable from the outside and this material allowed this to happen, all while making a beautiful noise and letting a lot of natural light in. Ultimately the material was very cost effective.
