As seen on the olympics stadium this summer, textiles are widely used within an architectural context. These materials need to protect the public from the elements, have tensile strength, abrasion resistance, inert UV resistance and pliability. Populous' design for the stadium had to meet the vigorous requirements set by the LOCOG. Cooley did this by creating a PVC-free, low carbon footprint, recyclable wrap.

"A breakthrough product, Cooley’s engineered-fabric membrane (coated with resins made by Dow) showcase a durable, printable, fire retardant and recyclable fabric, now part of Cooley’s Enviroflex™ line.
